HOMICIDE RESEARCH
WORKING GROUP
WELCOME TO THE HOME OF HOMICIDE RESEARCH WORKING GROUP
Though homicide research, dataset development, and intervention programs literally involve life-and-death issues, work in lethal violence had been scattered among numerous disciplines and was largely uncoordinated.
In order to address this problem, practical and academic homicide experts from criminology, public health, demography, medicine, sociology, criminal justice, and a variety of other disciplines created the Homicide Research Working Group.
We welcome individuals from both the academic and practitioner communities who are interested in understanding and preventing lethal violence, both in the homicides themselves and situations (e.g., domestic violence) that can result in murder.
