Who We Are
The Homicide Research Working Group (HRWG) is a group of researchers, practitioners, professors and students who share an interest in all aspects of homicide. We convene annually to listen to recent research data and findings, discuss new research activities, and learn about practices surrounding anticipating, preventing, prosecuting, and supporting surviving family members of homicide events. We create new knowledge through Homicide Studies, the organization’s peer-reviewed journal published by SAGE. We network members with existing research, data sources, peer associations, and innovative models in order to promote understanding the causes of homicide in order to prevent future deaths.
