Presents
Innovations in Homicide Research and Prevention
June 6 – June 9
2023 ANNUAL MEETING:
Call for Papers & Themed Presentations
This year, the conference will take place from June 6th to June 9th 2023 at the Crowne Plaza in North Augusta, South Carolina (adjacent to Augusta University). The meeting theme is “Innovations in Homicide Research and Prevention,” and we enthusiastically welcome academics at all career stages, pracademics, and practitioners to submit papers, presentations and in-progress work.
HRWG is unique in its workshop format and welcomes both completed work and early-stage work that would benefit from feedback. HRWG members present not only on homicide, but also on other forms of potentially lethal violence.
Please send extended abstracts to Dr. Kayla Toohy (kayla.toohy@ucf.edu) by February 20th. Questions can be directed to Dr. Toohy or to Dr. Kat Albrecht (kalbrecht@gsu.edu).
Please visit our website for more information: https://hrwg1991.org/upcoming-meeting/ and feel free to circulate the call widely across networks of interested researchers and practitioners.
We are also currently accepting nominations for organizational awards. We present awards annually for thesis research, dissertation research, and practitioner contributions to the field. More information about awards can be found at https://hrwg1991.org/awards/
